The Synod Guide Unit was introduced in Synod Higher Secondary School which was then known as High School in the year 1990 with a flock of Bulbuls, after I was sent for the training as a Flock Leader at the State Headquarter. Synod Bulbuls are small children between the age group of 6-10 years. There were altogether 39 children who joined and enrolled themselves as Bulbuls. As they were very young the Bulbuls looked cute in their blue overall and with a white scarf They were able to bring laurels to the Unit and to the School as a whole by being awarded the 'Best Team at the State Level Bulbul Utsav (festivals which was held at Garrison Ground Shillong.
